SmartReady Suite

Platform ownership and release assurance

SmartReady is the platform-ownership and release-assurance suite for ServiceNow. It speaks to developers, platform owners, implementation partners, and security and compliance leaders, and it validates that what ships to production is safe, performant, compliant, and properly licensed. SmartReady fills the gap between asset and security visibility and the ServiceNow platform layer, connecting code-level findings to the IRM and GRC controls that asset-security tools cannot reach. SmartReady is read-only by design and never writes to a customer instance; it surfaces findings, evidence, and suggested fixes that a developer applies in the tool of their choice.

Capabilities

  • SmartGate. The deterministic foundation. Customers build rule sets from a library of 300 default rules, then assemble a package that groups update set XMLs for assessment. The scan compares package contents against the configured rules and surfaces findings by severity as critical, error, warning, and suggestion. Teams filter findings, mark false positives, and review code-level issues directly. The release gate enforces governance before a package ships, blocking release if findings remain unresolved, if critical issues exist, or if a change request is not linked, and it can auto-generate a change request with an AI-written description summarizing every finding and its status.
  • SmartTriage. The intelligence layer on top of the deterministic scan. It processes each finding individually, cross-references it against the actual code context, and assigns a verdict of confirmed, false positive, or unknown along with a confidence score. Each finding shows the exact code snippet that triggered the rule alongside an AI-suggested fix, so reviewers spend their time on the findings that matter.
  • SmartReview. Scans a registered scoped application directly from the instance rather than an update set, on a manual, daily, or weekly schedule, the way a repository security tool scans code each night. It combines deterministic rule hits with AI-generated security findings, catching exposed script includes, missing ACL protections, cross-scope privilege issues, and unauthorized access risks, and exports a detailed summary for remediation.
  • App Passport. The certification artifact the gate produces, validating and certifying that a ServiceNow change set is production-ready. Especially relevant for AI-built applications, where it provides a defensible record that generated code was assessed before deployment.
  • SmartReview. Continuous monitoring watches your scoped apps (exposed script includes, missing ACLs, cross-scope risks).
  • SmartHealth. Continuous monitoring of the full instance beyond individual code changes, covering recursive business rules, unauthenticated access points, misconfigured ACLs, and other platform-level risks that accumulate over time.
  • SmartLicense. ServiceNow licensing management that tracks entitlements against actual usage, surfaces over-licensed and under-licensed positions, and gives platform owners the evidence to optimize ServiceNow spend and stay compliant with their subscription terms.
  • SmartReady Control Mapping. Automatically maps SmartReady findings to IRM controls, turning code and platform findings into governed compliance evidence and closing the loop between development and GRC.
  • SmartReady for Armis. Feeds SmartReady findings into Armis for prioritization and presentation, extending asset and security visibility into the ServiceNow application layer.Ship safe (the release gate) — SmartGate · SmartTriage · App Passport
  • Every change is scanned against 300+ ServiceNow best-practice rules, AI tells you which findings are real and suggests the fix, and nothing ships with unresolved critical issues or a missing change request. App Passport is the "certified production-ready" stamp, which matters most for AI-generated apps.
