Federal authorization and continuous compliance

SmartDACM modernizes the authorization process by bringing NIST OSCAL directly into ServiceNow IRM, replacing static documents and spreadsheet POA&Ms with a machine-readable, fully traceable authorization system. It is the first ServiceNow-native OSCAL implementation, and it supports FedRAMP, StateRAMP, DoD RMF, and NIST 800-53 with inherited control management. Federal rigor is the proof point, and the discipline the suite enforces applies to any compliance program.

• SmartDACM. The OSCAL-native core. Handles OSCAL ingestion, export, and round-trip authoring, automated SSP population and control mapping, evidence collection and validation, POA&M tasking and remediation tracking, and the assessment, reviewer, and clarification workflows that move a package toward an ATO.
• SmartDACM VR. Integrates ServiceNow Vulnerability Response into the authorization layer, correlating scanner findings from Tenable, Qualys, and Rapid7 to authorized systems, affected controls, and existing POA&Ms, then driving remediation SLAs, deviation requests, and the monthly ConMon vulnerability reporting that FedRAMP and CMMC require.
• SmartDACM Continuous Monitoring Dashboard. The Service Portal command center for continuous monitoring across every authorized system, tracking POA&M aging, monthly scan currency, control assessment freshness, deviation and significant-change requests, and inherited-control status. A single pane of glass for ISSOs, AOs, and program managers between authorization cycles.
• SmartSubscriber for SmartDACM. Centralized control inheritance applied to authorized systems, so controls implemented at a shared-service layer flow automatically to every downstream authorization package, with attest-once and inherit-many flows, hybrid control treatment, and exception handling.
• SmartRequest for SmartDACM. The request engine scoped to the authorization workflow, routing intake and tasking without custom flow development.
• SmartAI for SmartDACM. The AI layer for the suite, carrying Control Coach for AI-drafted control objectives from dense framework citations, and Attestation Review for reading responses, scoring risk, flagging gaps, and routing work back to control owners with a full audit trail.
